Project Overview

In the Sourthern Bowin basin Endocoal holds 100% of Stockyard Creek (EPC2339), Cedars (EPC1516) and Barfield (EPC1620)

The tenements are located west of the town of Biloela in the Banana Shire, Queensland, and are immediately east of the Dawson Mine Complex operated by Anglo Coal Australia in the Southern Bowen Basin.

Cedars and Barfield

The combined tenement areas run parallel to the Dawson Mine Complex for a distance in excess of 100km. The Cedars tenement is intersected by the Leichhardt Highway, and both tenements are intersected by the Dawson Highway and the Moura Rail System. This rail and road infrastructure currently services the existing Dawson Mine Complex and transports coal 184km to the Port of Gladstone.

The combined Cedars and Barfield tenement areas are located within immediate proximity to significant coal resources and coal mining reserves. A summary of these is set out below.

Project Company Proximity to Expedition Peak Coal Type PJORC Resources 1 (mt) Production (mtpa)
Dawson Complex Anglo Coal Australia (LSE:AAL) 1km to the west Metallurgical and thermal coal 380 12.0
Callide Anglo Coal Australia (LSE:AAL) 36km to the north east Low sulphur, sub bituminous thermal coal 694 10.2

1 Includes measured, indicated and inferred JORC resources based on publicly available information as at December 2009

The Cedars and Barfield tenements are located over the southern extension of the Folded Zone, and to the east of the Mimosa Syncline. As such, the strata in the area consist largely of easterly dipping Flat Top Formation and the overlying Gyanda Formation. In the north and north east of the tenements, the Barfield Formation is also exposed. These strata are well exposed over the majority of Cedars and maintain a dip to the west of approximately 15 degrees. There also exists a zone of major thrust faults and associated folds in the north of both the Cedars and Barfield tenements.

Stockyard Creek (EPC2339)

Coal seams have now been intersected in four drill holes at Stockyard Creek; with two seams, each approximately 3 metres thick, have been intersected at shallower depths to top-of-seam, from 311m > 251m > 164m > 100m;
The next drilling program will target the area where coal seams are projected rise closer to the surface in the sub-crop zone.

Coal core samples extracted from the scout drilling program recntly completed at Stockyard Creek are now undergoing laboratory analysis to determine coal quality and washability characteristics. it is expected these results will be avaliable in late May 2012.

Endocoal holds 100% of surrounding tenements at Stockyard Creek (EPC2339), Cedars (EPC1516) and Barfield (EPC1620).
